Iskele, (Yeni Iskele or Trikomo), is in the south east coastal area of North Cyprus. It is also an important tourist center. The people are hospitable, very interested in culture and art activities.

Iskele is one of the most beautiful cities of Northern Cyprus that stands out with its magnificent nature and unique bays; it is the address of balance and peace.

Remains from the middle and young Tuc periods between 1900 and 1625 BC can be found here. As the first settlement, it appears around the year 1200 MS. The Church of Panagia Thedokou dates back to 12th century MS, St. James Church to 14-15 centuries MS. It is rumored that it was called 'Trikomo', which means three villages in Greek, because of the belief that it was formed as a result of the merger of three small villages in the early days. However, it is known that after 1974, the name was changed to Iskele by immigrants from Larnaca. We recommend visiting the Triaz Basilica and the Apostolos Andreas Monastery, Kantara Castle, İskele Icon Museum, Aphendrika (Urania) Ancient City, Panagia Theodokou Church and Philo Church. Dedicated to Apostolos Andreas (St. Andrew), who is the protector of travelers, the ruler of the winds and the creator of miracles, this monastery draws attention with its magnificent architecture and eye-catching symbols.
